Hi all, looking at a potential E89 35i, low mileage.
Just spoke to the dealer to book the appointment, he said it's got a great bundle of history docs and the previous owner was apparently a "BMW Z-car enthusiast" and traded it in for a Z3. Sounds like the sort of thing someone on here would do. :D
Of course I'll check out all the docs when I get there, but was wondering if anyone on here knows this car - RO59 XEE?

cheers
Chris

I remember that one well. It belonged to a girlfriend from Wales. Amy. Or was it Barbie ? Or Candie ? It’s been a while. And they all look the same.

Sounds like an odd direction of travel Z4 to Z3 but who knows…

The Z4 enthusiast bit sounds like sales bullshit imho..

Best get the vin and see the details..

Car history on the MOT reflects typical early history but seems cared for afterwards..

Wait for the "the last owner changed the oil and filters every three weeks, but unfortunately due to GDPR, we have had to burn the proof".

Or maybe he misheard, and the previous owner was a fan of the 1960s police TV show "Z cars". :?

Haven't heard of anyone on here, or the Z3 forum saying they have gone from E89 to E36.

Given the endless gremlins, and expensive bells and whistles that go bad on the modern E89, the nostalgia of the simpler E36 is appealing. I'm presently chasing two PITA problems with my E89. I reckon after over 30 years of BMW ownership, this shall be the last. I want my FIAT back. It was far worse, but at least it was just a puny FIAT.

So in summary, this car isn't known to the forum.
Doesn't look like it so far.
If you stick around you will find out that answers to questions are sometimes not straightforward and topics can wander a bit

I went from the E89 to an E89 AND an E36 (and an F31). Considering I'm not a BMW 'fanboy' I seem to be doing well! :?
