Help am new to this I have a 2003 Z4 2.2 that has developed a knocking sound when driving though it seems to go when acelerating unless it is drowned out by engine noise of course. It seems to come from underneath towards the rear of the car it does'nt do it as soon as you start driving it seems to start after about 10 mins its been doing it for about a month had it to friend who is a mechanic he thought it could be the rear diff but he checked it and it had no play in it.Any suggestions.Thanks :?

Have you checked the rear springs? Fairly common failing and make all sorts of odd knocking depending on where the break is.
2003 should be up for them breaking by now.
