Knocking from Front after lowering

I am really hoping someone can help me.

I have just replaced the springs on my zed (3.0i 2004) with Eibach lowering springs.

After doing it there is a knocking from the front, it normally happens a slow speed over any type or bump / drop curb.

I just wanted to get your thoughts on what you think it could be. I have a couple of thoughts in that the drop links looked very worn and got moved around a lot when we were removing the shock and attaching spring compressors etc. so it could be them as well as the front anti roll bar bushes.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks very much

P.S. I was meticulous in making sure the springs sat on the shock rubber correctly so it isn't that.

I had the same issue after fitting eibach springs, there would be a knock when the front left suspension extended.
The problem I'm my case was the strut brace on that side was loose, I removed the brace, cleaned the mounting surfaces and refitted the bolts with some thread lock.

thanks GP06Roadster, and Neil_Ireland, that's a great help.

I had a look again at the springs last night and they are definatley not sitting right even though I took ages making sure they were seated correctly and they looked good before I put them on the car.

It was quite difficult to place the springs over the rubbers on the shock though, the bottom one especially. I put the end of the spring against the stop but then the flat side of the spring would not seat on the rubber properly, I ended up just applying pressure to it so that it sat on the rubber, obviously this has not worked.

Should I take the rubbers off the shock and place them on the spring before placing on the shock instead of putting the spring on the shock with the bottom rubber already in situe?

Thanks in advance for your help.
