Knocking from behind dash

Try loosening and re-torquing the nuts on the bulkhead to strut top reinforcement bars....

Hi,
I have had a simular problem which sounds like a bolt or metal object sliding when going around corners.
Had a look when head unit was out, had the steering column covers off and ashtray out but cannot find it.
Very frustrating but living with it as short of removing dash have given up.

Yep thats exactly what it sounds like.a small bolt or socket
Could be my locking wjeel nut.i lost that a while back, does the wiper motor housing in front of the windscreen have a void, fir the heater.could be something roling in there.
Ill try the struts as well mike...
See how we go.

Yeah, its not a rattle is it, more of a "knock" sort of noise especially when one front wheel goes over a bump before the other one and twists the front a fraction.
Did you use a torque wrench or just tighten them "feeling" the tightness?
You should be using torque plus angle, I've posted the values before but don't have them to hand.
