...with one post...
So having not posted pics on a forum previously, I thought I'd give it a try and also introduce my zed formally....
It's a 2004 2.5 SE in Bright Red, which I picked up just before Christmas and with the awful weather have had no time to do much with it cleaning wise other than basic washing - roll on Spring!
With 45,000 on the clock and 3 previous owners, it seems to be in reasonably good condition - in fact when the last owner picked it up 12 months ago it only had 19,000 miles on it, having averaged just over two thousand miles a year over it's first 8 years - he then very kindly ran it in for me by sticking 25 thousand on it in a year
As far as spec goes - it's pretty average, but it has the 2 things I absolutely had to have - 6 cylinders and HID lights. The black leather interior is in good condition (at least it is since I hit it with the Gliptone - another post to follow) and it also came with the wind deflector. Another bonus was finding out when wading through the paperwork, that it had had the steering rack replaced by BMW due to the sticky steering fault - one less thing to go wrong!
Plans? Plenty - first mod has already been done - black grilles, to be shortly followed by a stubby and Machine Monkey gear knob (on order!). I'm also trying to decide on the best way to get Bluetooth sorted as I'd rather keep the interior looking standard. Once we get into Spring properly, I'll be looking at ditching the 17 inch wheels for something a bit meatier and also looking at the ride height. It's been a while since I've had a car I could play around with - but as this was relatively cheap and bought as a bit of a weekend car, I'm enjoying the planning!
Anyway - here's a couple of pics...
