Kids with Footballs

Yeah I agree there is bob hope and no hope I would go quietly on this would defo have a word not nasty but with purpose. Otherwise the frustration will just build up and turn a bit toxic :(

My brother in-law is on the other side of the spectrum he is a little nuts and protective of his "parking space/property" one time he got back form a job late one night found someone parked in his space outside his house starting banging on the door at 1am and made them move there car :lol:
 
Knock on the door and when it opens be as aggressive as humanly possible without violence, releasing the most hostile tirade imaginable. Threaten legal action, to poison the puppy, and to maim their kids if they ever let them kick a football against your 635 again... That way the ball games should stop and any any retribution won't be enacted upon your zed :D

In my experience start off gently and then if necessary you can increase the tempo. You have to see what response you get. If you explain the position politely. you may be pleasantly surprised at the response.
If you get a negative or aggressive response just tell them quietly that if it happens again the next time they see their kids they will will be in a body bag. :wink:

I have calmed down a bit now, lets see what tomorrow brings, luckily on weekends they have no space to play as its like a car park on the road normally :thumbsup:
 
I think you should speak to the kids first. In my experience it's best to try and talk to them and get them 'on side'

As in, 'hey lads I can see you got some skills there! Can you do me a favour and keep the ball away from my car, took me ages to polish it! Thanks lads'

If that doesn't work then you can get a bit heavier. Kids usually respond a lot better if you talk to them and do it on their level rather than boll*cking them or going to see their parents first off.

That's my opinion anyway. Good luck with it!
 
This was partly the reason I moved back to rural living. When I bought the zed I was living in Dundee - there were plenty kids playing in the cul-de sac. I worried all the time. Especially when they were playing football or riding bikes near the car :o

Bikes are too much of a problem, but when they're learning to ride, and keep wobbling past the car.... Not so good.

Tricky situation. Maybe a chat with the patens is the best way forward?

Kids with bikes and scooters :x

One of the reasons that I am so gld my car is now in the garage. At least a football is obvious and noisy - on bikes and scooters they are gone in a flash, and it only takes a light touch to do a lot of damage. In my experience it doesn't matter if they are only learning or not...

They have no understanding of the massive cost of repairs or respraying, the impact that has on other things that need money spent on them in a normal life, or indeed the effort that goes into affording something that expensive in the first place. And I don't think parents do enough to instil this understanding.

If children were required to go out to work in their spare time and pay for the rent and bills on a mini log cabin in the back garden then they'd have a much earlier appreciation of the value of property and take greater care around others' possessions. bring back the work house I say ! It'd keep them off the streets too...

Bottom line, they can hit a football at your car all they want if it's parked, but if they are getting in the way of you using it then they are committing an offence - so you need to tackle them on the angle of getting in the way of vehicles.

Hmm, but the ball keeps bouncing on my property..drive way... can I charge them an access fee everytime to retrieve it, or call it tresspass lol
