Saw a late 90s 5 series today with the tricolour m badge on the kidney grills. Anyone done this on thier zed and any of them on the silver ones. I've only ever seen it on black grills on BMWs.

I think they might look ok if they weren't M colours. Can't remember who's car it is but that coupe that was painted grey with the red accents on the front splitter etc might look good with three red or grey stripes on? Who knows. As for the M colours, not a fan especially as its not an M. You may as well stick m power sticks all over it. It's your car so do what you want.
Yeah it's the colours I was looking at. They look better on darker cars. It terms of the "it's not an M" well no it's not but that hasent stopped BMW putting M badges on the alloys, steering wheel gear knob so don't really see a difference. It's not like it's an M badge on the back fake quad exhaust M bumpers put on.
I agree with the comments above that if the grills could come with 3 slats in your body colour / interior colour / contrasting colour that would be cool but not sure about the M colours..
