Kidney grilles

I bought matte black grilles from DDMtuning and they're great! :) they were less than $50 I believe made from all black ABS plastic!

IMO, the less chrome on a Z4, the better. Chrome is for luxury cars like the 3/5/7 series. The Z's a sports car ;)

I'll post a picture up of my blacked out Z grille when I get a chance!

It looks like they are just the surround and not the complete grill which makes them look expensive unless I've got it wrong. I would also be wary of anyone who thinks the shape of the grill is "square-like" :?

They are just the surround so as you said expensive for what they are,so will give them a miss :thumbsup:
 
At last the all black kidney grilles i ordered from the states finally arrived,but had to go and and pick them up myself from the local post office depot and had to pay an import charge whiched sucked :thumbsdown: ,but it was worth it once getting home and then straight down to business replacing the black/chrome with the all black ones.Well pleased with the transformation will post some pics a soon as the weather improves and will get the Zed out into the daylight and will get snapping
On getting the original grilles out i checked them against the aftermarket ones and found that the the chrome trim could be removed so what i have done is used the OEM grille slats and replaced the chrome trim with matt black trim which fitted perfectly and then fitted them to the Zed which look great :thumbsup:
So i now have a spare set of grilles which are made up off non OEM grille slats and OEM chrome trim,which i will post into the buy/sell section for anyone looking for a black/chrome set of grilles :thumbsup:
