Kidney grille stolen?

Woke up Friday morning to find that my driver's side kidney grille was missing! :x I hadn't driven my car since the previous Monday and thought I would have noticed that it was missing between then and Friday (albeit I was only home Tuesday morning and Thursday/Friday) or if it had fallen off while driving... on closer inspection the passenger grille was also loose and only hanging on by a couple of clips...

Does anyone know if they have a tendency fall off while driving or is it more likely that it was stolen? It was parked on the driveway of a cottage on a private road so not close to the main road at all...

£40 replacement part obtained from BMW the same day.

Mine were pretty difficult to remove, and require quite a hard tug at an angle to be removed... i would also guess theft or vandalism... hope they didnt cause any damage in rmeoving them.

Argh sutters, :o awful if it's vandalism or theft - there are some crazy cats out there. Glad the car is otherwise okay

Keep an eye on ebay and check other cars near by. A stupid criminal round here stole the centre caps from over a dozen cars then put them all on ebay at the same time a couple days later. Wasnt long before we tracked him down and the police were knocking on his door. We even rang his mobile number of the ad and said we wanted to collect and pay cash.

He even took pictures of them, holding them up while wearing rubber gloves.

Not sure a cat could reach that high and pull hard enough at the same time, no matter how crazy they were... :D

Sounds like vandalism or possibly stolen to me. They are secure enough to not just come out while driving, they definitley require a good pull.
