Anyone owned a modern KIA?

Looking to replace the family Juke with a KIA Stonic 3/4

Really attracted by the 7 year warranty and was wondering what the dealerships / running costs are like

Any other options for small crossover type vehicles that come with a decent warranty? The wife need an auto and a not too low driving position due to illness.

Budget is about £17k.

We have had several Kia’s over the years. When we had a caravan we had three Sorentos. All of which were reliable and trouble free. The last Kia we had was a 2016 Sportage. Again it proved to be reliable with no problems. Running costs were reasonable and the three dealers we used were all decent. We used different dealers to get the best possible deal each time we changed. The Sportage we traded for a 330d Touring. That has gone now and we have moved from the sublime to the ridiculous with a Toyota Prius, which we find very economical (72 mpg from new) and very easy to live with.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Kia as a brand but the ones we had couldn’t be described as driver’s cars. The ride was a bit choppy. Would I buy another. Yes I think we are more than likely to have another as our daily at some time in the future,

Hello. I have a 2017 Sportage GT Line Edition. And I cannot fault it at all. It’s been serviced twice at a cost of £69. The dealer also collected and returned the car, sent me a video of the underneath of the car as well as all the components. Then washed and valeted the car before driving it back to me. I’ve just changed the front tyres at a cost of £157 for the 2. They lasted 24000 miles. My average MPG since I got the car brand new is 43.2 I’ll have to change the car in the next 12 months due to tax reasons and will probably just order another one. It does everything it supposed to and I don’t feel tired after long journeys. It’ll happily purr along at 90 and not moan around town at 30. I have a family of 4 and it swallows luggage from all of us. I really can’t see any other reason to look elsewhere.
Hope this helps and you can PM me if you need any other info.

I would never have even crossed my mind to look at a KIA but whilst on holiday in the US we had a KIA Forte rental car, my understanding is that the Forte is a booted Ceed in essence, it was comfy, felt very well screwed together & had a very German feel about the dash layout & trim, also it was very economical.

When my DD gives up I shall certainly not rule out a KIA car as it's replacement.

I've never owned one either, but had a few Cee'ds as rental cars back in 2008, 2009 and 2010 mostly in Denmark and Australia.

I thought they drove really well - better than an Astra and as good as a Focus, but they felt as well screwed together as a Golf even if the quality of the trim didn't feel quite as good.

But if I was looking for something in a market sector that had a Kia model in it I certainly wouldn't rule it out!

Hi, we had a Kia Soul a few years back & really liked it-the alloys blistered when it was about 3 years old and we were really impressed when the dealership ordered new wheels as replacements with no quibbles after taking some pics of them.
We sold it after getting jittery about future values as it was diesel powered. Practical, economic & reliable

Thanks for the feedback guys, test drive is booked for Saturday lunchtime as they have managed to get me an auto.

If I buy I plan to finance then pay off in the cooling off period so I get the maximum discount.
