Kia Soul

Reminds me of the older Honda CRV.

I think a lot of modern vehicles have followed the route of design over practicality - rear too low and small doors with small rear windows.

Looks like this has avoided that trap and looks a very useful car. Auto diesel these days makes great sense to me.

The new Kia diesel engines are powerful enough and quite smooth. Definitely a company on the up.

Wise choice.

I think they look great, much better in the metal than pics and different which is a plus. Only thing I don't like so much is the steering wheel, but no car is perfect.

Tim.

only idiots laugh at these kind of cars these days... usually the same ones that still try to laugh at Skoda...

Kia/Hyundai etc are at least big enough to but their money on the table with long warranties... you'll never see a "premium" brand like BMW be that brave....

my mate has just swopped his 3 series for the Hyundai i40 and loves it... says it's a far better car, both in spec and costs....and to be honest, I haven't heard a bad word against either makes from the people that own them, only negative, ill informed comments from people that don't. ;)

For getting from A to B there are some great value cars out there now from Kia, Hyundai etc

Can't knock a 7 warranty....

Ah but you can as not all parts are covered under the 7 year warranty. Some bits only 3 years etc

There's more to the small print than they let on.

I've no experience of Kia but my old man is a non-Exec of a Hyundai and Honda dealer so he's usually got an i30 at home. I really like them - dead easy to drive, handle well, well equipped and not bad looking either.

Like them, functional looking, funky and for urban use, the aero makes no odds.
However, a word of warning.
Phonetically you are now very close to owning a
"Key Arsehole Hunter"

Just seen this thread, mrs smartbear has had a crdi tempest for 2 years now with unblemished reliability, a couple of the alloys showed signs of corrosion & they were replaced with no quibbles-gets 45mpg on short runs & 55mpg on the motorway cruise.
Very impressed so far
Regards
