No it wouldn't trigger the alarm, it's fine to use the key in the door and the ignition, it's why it has keyholesAndy said:Not sure if that would trigger the alarm but eventually you'd get it going.

Lots of older BMWs used to be: if it's locked with the remote, it needs to be unlocked with it too.
