I am probably going to be picking up a 54 plate Z4 next week. Please could somebody post a couple of pictures of the keys for this model? I'm intregued to whether they are flip keys. If they are not does anyone know if you can buy replacement flip keys? Thanks
 
they are the standard BMW key from any model of that age (since the dawn of time ;)):

you should also get a black plastic 'wallet key', By flip keys you mean the new version with the pullout emergency key? Flip keys are from VAG models.

You can buy replacement key blanks from ebay for a reasonable price (less than a tenner), if you require the electronics they are amazingly expensive.

edit: saying that about the electronics with the key, I just found one on ebay for under 20 quid.

If i could get one of the newer shaped keys made up that would be ideal. Do you have the link to you you found on ebay?

The bladeless keys are very new
 
New key from dealer in the UK - £100 ouch..... :x and then I found the one I had lost....BUGGER :(

Any Idea how we find out which key to order, I refer to the questions at the bottom of the listing, I guess its the compatibility to the ECU/immobiliser? Its not for me Z4, its for a 02 Clubsport
