Very odd occurrence today.
Wifey is out doing some dog trailing thing in the 1 Series.
She leaves the car unlocked while she's trailing as other people stay with it.
Today she left the keys in the boot and shut it down. When she came back to the car it was locked.
I didn't think that could happen with the keys in the car?
They were laying right at the rear lip of the boot.
Luckily, although I'm sitting 30 miles away, I have the BMW app on my phone and was able to unlock the car for her using that. What a great invention.
I am concerned though that she managed to get into this predicament. Anyone got any ideas? Is it a fault?
I am wondering whether, if the keys are taken out of the car but then put back in, the car doesn't realise they're back inside?
However, the other thing that's baffling me is: how did it even lock? Another car nearby on the same frequency/code??
