Key turns but does not unlock steering lock or turn on dash

So….not exactly sure what’s wrong here.

2003 z4, the key turns in the lock and clicks into 3 different positions. However none of them actually disengage the steering lock or engage the dash lights….


Any help would be great thanks.

Attempting to remove the ignition tumblr has proven brutal with a Bobby pin :/

It is usually called an ignition switch. Your best bet is to look closely at the broken part for a part number. If you google the part number, something should come up

Ignition lock cylinder barrel rod. Search for Bross BSP42 that "should" fit the E85.
