Pics of the interior to follow once I have cleaned it up abit.
Would leather furniture wipes be a good way to clean the leather seats and trim?
As you can see, the headlight lenses need some lovin' care.

BMW did 3 different metallic blacks I think. The most popular one was Black Sapphire, but there was also Carbon Black (which has a blue hue in bright light) and Ruby Black (with a purple hue) as an Individual option.

The easiest way to find out is to go to a VIN decoding site, or open the bonnet and there will be a plate on the driver's side of the car detailing the VIN, build date, paint colour, etc.

I bought some leather wipes in Aldi for my seats and they worked fine.

Great news about the keys too.

Thanks Mr Tidy, it would appear mine is Ruby black or ' rubinschwarz' - I like it!
I will check out those leather wipes in Aldi. I gave the plastics a wipe over with some sugar soap and light coat of dash protector. Wipes took some nasty black and brown muck off!

Nice - I think Ruby Black is the best of the black options.

Don't be surprised if your V5 shows the colour as "Red" - my one did!

Your dash cleaning sounds like hard work - I've found baby wipes do a pretty good job.

Funny you should say that, the v5 states blue!
I'm not sure if it is some sort of admin error. I checked the chassis and engine numbers before parting with cash and all is correct. I am in two minds wether it is worth even trying to correct it!
Baby wipes added to the shopping list!
