Key functions

Went to my BMW stealership today and tried to refine my key functions as I had been told I could drop the roof and windows and raise them from my key.
I am aware that I can do so with the key in the door lock using the unlock and lock function by returning the key to lock /unlock and holding.
Mine is a 3.0 litre 03 build
Went in to the options on the BMW applications software and no such option exists..is this only on my year.
Is this correct.
All my previous Bimmers have had at least the window up and down function from the key/remote.
I am devastated ...if this is the case it wouldnt have been hard to put it in to the cars as the function is there just not on the key/remote....piss poor show if this is the case.
Why would'nt they have done this...
I cannot believe it.
Anyone throw some light on this matter

I think it's quite common from the dealers that the roof open / close isn't an available option.
However, it definately is possible, as quite a few poeple on here have it done.

I've talked to this guy about what he can and can't do, and he's 99% sure roof up / down can be added to my car (3.0 '03) as well as other cool things... all for £25.


It's definately going to be cheaper than your stealer, but just depends on where you are in the country :/

dealers should be able to set roof down from the fob (and it should be there by default) but roof up isn't even available to them as an option.

only the autologic will do it, at independants.
