Hi everyone new member got a problem. New battery car working the roof 3 times , with the key fob ,now it doesn’t, even when I drive it 30 miles , .anyone have a idea? :D sorry should say what it is lol z4SdriveSi the fast one :)

Hi and welcome To the forum
Does the roof work with the engine running using the button in the car? if not make sure the cover in the boot is clicked in it place

Yes roof works even up 33 mph . Just dose not work on fob anymore. Did when I put the new battery on . Told the car that it had a new battery.

Have you got comfort access? Those cars don’t have recharging fobs but use normal replacement batteries i think.

Think the battery in the car is not holding the charge , just drove 40 mile ,it work once ,now the windows do even go down :(

yes they do have recharging fobs it a 2014 plat

So you say you have recently changed the car battery? If you have comfort access they have a separate replaceable battery in the fob. First point of call for not working with the fob is low battery voltage.. so usually after a run it will work...

First of all love the colour of your car nice . Yes I know about the key fob . I have used both fobs . I go for a drive say 40 miles the roof will work when I come back. But going to work 27 miles away. It doesn’t. So this makes me think 🤔 it’s something different. But thanks for your thoughts .

Something doesn't add up here. Comfort Access does not have a rechargeable battery - never has. It should have a flap on the back of the fob so you can replace the CR2032 battery when it goes flat (which will indicate on the car's instrument cluster).
If you have a rechargeable fob as you say you do (your photo doesn't show the back of the fob, where the flap should be), then all I can say is maybe the dealer has got a cheaper rechargeable one programmed - but this would mean none of the CA features would work.
How many key fobs do you have? If you have two, are they exactly the same on the back?
I think there's more to this....

Edit: Reading through the thread again - are you sure you have CA? Have you checked your vin against a VIN decoder, or even easier, do you have the 'ridges' on the door handle that are there for CA option? Now I've re-read your posts I don't think you actually say you have CA.
In which case, have you tried putting the battery on a charger to make sure it is actually fully charged? If not, are you able to check the voltage of the battery while the car is running?

Have ask bmw on face time ,showed them the keys x2 and they say that they are the recharging ones ,it a whole unit

I had a problem with one of my recharging keys. Split it with a craft knife and replaced the battery with one of these rather than get a new key. Been ok for 18 months. You’d need to check the battery in the link is the correct one for your key though. I don’t know if they’re all the same.
