Key battery query.

Hi , just wondering about ignition key batteries, if they go flat, i know they struggle to unlock the car, but will they still mechanically start the car or do can they cause starting issues as well.? Any ideas welcome , thank you.

Turning the key in the ignition is a physical process - no electronics involved, same goes for the door locks.
The Zed isn't as vulnerable to theft as some modern cars with their keyless ignitions because of this.

We have a transponder in the key on the E85/6. It’s a stand-alone chip that requires no power.
