Kerbed wheel Agghh

Don't you just love it when you go on an errand which turns out to be a waste of time and end up kerbing a wheel.
Right good score marks about 5" long on outer edge of rim.
I've sanded them back and re lacquered, not impressed with second coat of lacquer so will re do it when the wheels come off for winter.
I know it's there but have to get close to see it. Just wanted to get it sealed to stop water lifting the lacquer.
 
Ive only ever kerbed previously unmarked wheels, once knackered ive never made them worse!
There's a moral in there somewhere? :?

Here's finished result, it looked like a rasp before I started. Not happy with bubbles in lacquer but will do for now.
