was Driving home, came off a roundabout then onto a narrow road.. hit a little black ice. the rear kicked out whacked the kerb then the front hit also :( alignment is definitely out on the front, and the camber on the rear looks off now too... Gona get it up on the ramp soon and have a look to see the damage. Really hope this isn't going to be too expensive.. any suggestions as to what could be nakered? Rear arm maybe? i know im going to have to get the wheels refurbed now because they are pretty badly marked :( im so upset, as im going to sell the car soon and upgrade to a Z4 alpina. Just had to happen at the perfect time! :( theres also now the handbrake light which is yellow, the tyre light which is in yellow and the traction control is constantly off now. JESUS my luck is so bad! Been driving 15 years so its not like im in experienced. guess these things can easily happen on rear wheel drive cars. Any information would be great thanks

Is the tyre holding pressure?

The front could be a cracked strut or drop link, the rear is so basic there isnt much that could break.

But you def have knocked a sensor out if the traction control is off all the time and the handbreak works and is still yellow.

A wheel speed sensor could be the culprit for all of the bold stuff as the car uses this for these systems, a diagnostic/code reader will be able to tell you which it is.

As has been said, there isn't much to go wrong on the rear, so it shouldn't be too bad.

I can't really help with the front though.

Hey there thanks for the advice... i had it up on the ramp today, lower rear arm was bent. changed it over and its running straight again! droplink was fine too which was great. £32 fix. Gona get all the wheels refurbed anyway and im gona get the 4 wheel alignment done too camber etc also. im really chuffed there wasn't any other serious damage. yellow lights and traction control light still yellow. but maybe a reset of the ECU and sensors will put this back to normal?
