Kerbed a wheel

ronk

Out in (her) new 335 today and on the way home a neighbour came around the corner a bit wide and being a gent I pulled over, but mis-judged where a lowered kerb crossing was - the result one damaged 403M wheel . It's only 50mm long and 3mm wide but I'm well brassed off. :(

Does anybody know how much to repair a polished rim wheel please?

I'm looking at getting mine repainted a different colour and prices I have been given seem to range from 70 to 90 pounds a wheel so far for a one colour finish. Damage repairs if needed can add more, obviously they have to do more work to repair the wheel before repaint can be done.

Hope this helps.

Ouch! Your looking at 50 to 70 quid. I know BMW do offer the service but they just get some boy in. If you have a look at either the local chips away in your area they do it or a debt specialist.

Alternatively wheel refurbishment and the area into Google and you'll get a few coming up

£120 for the full wheel or about £60-75 if you get a firm to do a local repair, ie not the whole wheel.

That's a London price anyway

It's not a bad graze but I think it will be difficult to execute a smart repair due to the polished nature of the rim.
At a recent small car show the Lloyds rep talked of a special £120 full face repair.

I've got a contact for a painted wheel repair. The fella charges £50 a rim.

If or when my wife does the same thing in the future I will have to keep my trap well and truly shut I guess!

Get it repaired before she finds out, that way you can still have a real go when she does it :)
