yes good luck, have had same op but on the nhs (no health service) so wasnt great. im happy to make it later if it means more can make it, be good to have a decent turnout perhaps 1st week in november?

I'm happy to come along too, but October is pretty much out for me. Weekend 7th Nov onwards is this earlist, so if you fix something up before, have a good meet.

My doctor said if I didnt go private I would be on the waiting list, but going private I got an appointment in three hours (my boss knows the consultant which helped) and surgery will be within 9 working days of my first consultation so cant complain.

Just glad I'm not paying the bill, it just under £3.5k at present.

In my next life, I am coming back as an animal if I have to live in the UK. With a vet, you get much, much better service.

I'm away until the 10th, wouldn't mind coming along.

There is another forum/forums having a meet on the 25th, at the Woodman anyone going along to this.

Pistonheads have fairly regular meets at the Woodman in Ide Hill.

Its BMWLand mainly and a few from M5Board and m3cutters.

Should we gate crash this or make our own meet.

Knee done, no movement as the bandage is so bloody tight and big, and a bit of pain, but the wife is looking after me, not that she has a choice :D

they have given me

Voltarol to reduce swelling and ease inflamation which i have to take

Dihydrocodeine for moderate to severe pain relief to take up to four times a day

and good old paracetamol

thought I wouldnt need the crutches, but not a chance :( but hopefully tomorrow things will get easier when the big bandage comes off.

thanks for your support guys :)

How are you doing? Getting better?

Took the outer bandage off last night, was a bit shocked at how swollen it was and what a mess it looked, still cant bend it much, but day by day it's getting easier. Doc has said I can drive from Next Mon-Wed as long as I can do an emergency Stop, but I cant even get in a car at present not easily anyway.

But hoping to be back to normal by the weekend, I just keep doing my exercises and rest it as I was told to do. :)

Hope it's soon better. You can apply Voltarol cream, or you can get some Arnica gel from health food shop, used by sports-people as it promotes healing as well as relieves pain.

Quick update and it's not looking good, looks like I will be back in Hospital tomorrow as the swelling hasnt gone down and I cant walk.

As a reference Phil Tufnell is having trhe same op today and is looking to be dancing on thursday, which means I should have been nearly ok by last Friday. I know people heal at different speeds but I cant even bend my leg.

Went to the hospital yesterday as I was concerned and although the doctor wasnt overly concerned he did point out that if my knee had been any hotter he would have kept me in.

I have posted some picks, I know my legs arent pretty but took these this morning so gives you an idea 6 days on. The yellow on my calf is from internal bleeding which seems to be getting worse.
