Kent Meet - Sunday 5th August @ 12pm

Right,

Myself and Flymo (aka Lawnmower_Man) are going to have a mini-meet to discuss exhausts, gearknobs and top speed limiters... all very exciting.

Had a quick look around pubs near the bottom of the M25, and found this one (The Woodman), just off J5 of the M25 in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

I know a few other car clubs use it - it has a large car park (for all 2 of us, so far!) and plenty of nice A-roads nearby incase anyone wants to passenger ride in another car etc... oh, and the menu looks pretty tasty too :D

So, if anyone else is free that Sunday afternoon and fancies meeting up also, drop your name down so we know who's coming.

I don't think a time has been set in stone yet....
 
Nicely done 'Box - there can't be many people who get a whole new section created on the back of a two (now three) car meet...! :lol:

Venue looks good - AA Routemap tells me it'll take a little over an hour to get there.

As for timings, I don't mind as long as it's afternoon as I do like my sleep on a Sunday morning... :D

We can then decide whether to eat before or after the drive. :)
 
Well I was thinking it may get a bit busy on a Sunday lunchtime, so would midday be too early a time for you on a Sunday? :P Either that, or we go for later in the day, but would need to check what time they serve food until...
 
You doing Goodwood in the Morning?

I'm having lunch at the Jolly Farmer arranged with Nick on the other sides but I'm up for an afternoon run as well...
 
Ohhh. Is that the Breakfast Club morning? I might swing by that first then, and onto Tunbridge Wells after... didn't realise it was the same day.
 
Is anyone bringing girlfriends / other halves along?

My girlfriend says she doesn't want to come if she's going to be the only girl...! :D

I can't shake mine off...so she'll be along...I can lock her in the boot when she gets annoying... :P

Gaydon isn't too far...

I'm easy. If a few peeps would rather meet in the pub, I'm still game for that, or we can put it off til the end of August or something and head up to Gaydon instead. I guess Gaydon will be an all-day thing though, whereas the pub meet was only going to be for a couple of hours for lunch etc...?

As I said i'll probably be going, it's only down the road from me and the trip includes a 10 mile blast down my favourite A road. :driving:
 
It will be a top day I am sure, combine it with a mini-meet seems like a good idea??!!

I dont mind meeting some of the people more South of me and heading up to Gaydon?

Failing that an end of August meet like you say Andy.
 
I'll keep it in mind, chaps, the rents live in Tunbridge Wells.

The only thing i'm worried about is ending up wanting to exchange my Silver Grey R for a White C :D

Sounds like a good idea to me, we could always find a nice local pub for some refreshments.
