Another great meet very lucky with the weather.

Fantastic convoy, around healthfield we had convoy detachment issues. Slight shame as I wanted to stay till the end :(
But thank you perry for continuing the route- around the layby stop a27 Brighton we had another detachment so myself, Owen and Adriano stopped at Brighton and it was nice meeting those guys

Perry/Cindy I think your pictures are brilliant

Luke

Cheers Luke, great to meet you both too! Brekkie by the seaside wasn't too bad

And good to meet the legendary JE - in my head I had built up an image of you, and it was way out! Should have guessed that you were a proper Essex geezer.

All I would suggest for next time is that meet points along the way are PM'd beforehand - helps if anyone gets lost, they then have a better idea of where they need to head to

I don't think my car did any faster than 45 mph.....it was pretty leisurely all the way :D

+1

..Although I am sure I also saw a '1' in there somewhere ..
I admit it, I did shoot past people at 51mph - I am going to attend a speed awareness course and hope, nay pray, that I won't offend in this manner again :P

Lovely run had to leave early due to work........

Great driving and thanks for the organisation put in.

Yesterday,I was out having fun with 26 or so fellow Zedders in fantastic weather, this morning cold and miserable and just about to get in my 1.9 diesel van and go to work....oh well.

It really was a good laugh - quite a few people liked and commented on the Alpina's fruity exhaust note at both low and high speed and, after a night's sleep to clear the cobwebs, I've remembered that someone (can't remember who) asked if they were available as a retrofit but I didn't really have a chance to answer before we had to get going again.

The Alpina exhaust is a custom-made stainless steel tuned unit produced for Alpina by Boyssen. I believe that it can be purchased through Sytner but I don't really know enough about exhaust dynamics to say if it would fit a standard Z. However, being a tuned unit, it wouldn't surprise me if it required a replacement of the whole exhaust system from the manifold back - if this is the case, it's unlikely that it would be a simple retrofit

A standard 2L in limp mode was not good, even more so with a 3.4L beast in front of me some of the way :headbang:
Whoops, sorry JE, I thought it was a fairly sedate pace

Did you ever say why you kept your roof up all morning? It wasn't that chilly, especially with seat heating on and heater blasting hot air into the footwell - Cindy can't stand the cold so, if she can cope, anyone can...
