keeping my new discs looking new

Bought some new M-tec discs but forgot to get them coated :roll: so they will go rusty within 5 minutes thanks to our lovely British climate, I don't really want to paint them silver/black but I would like to try and keep them clean and in there natural state do we think this will workhopefully should give them just a clean gloss look

I used this once on a ford CVH rocker cover that I polished up Si-forks, unfortunately it went yellow pretty quickly due to the heat so I reckon it'd do the same on discs. Just my own experience though of course.

OK thanks the idea is to just make a rust barrier, I've already bought some better quality spray so we will see

Don't think I would spray the working surfaces, would probably burn off straight away I suppose.
Tin of silver hammerite works well doesn't change colour with the heat

If they are bare metal, ie not coated, ironx or another decontamination spray will keep them looking their best. Spray on, agitate, jet wash off. It's how I've got mine back to looking clean again but my disks are easily 30k old.

Failing that, paint them back to silver every once in a while. Quick wheel off job with silver hammerite. Done.

I think everybody else is talking about painting the disc bell not the rotor itself :roll: !!!

I sincerely hope so or it's ditch here we come.

Silver Hammerite on the hubs and Callipers looked ace on my previous 3.0 with 108's.

You can also paint the outside edge of the disk carefully to stop it rusting around each skin if you're careful. Any small over paints if your hand isnt too steady will soon rub off when you first drive it.
