Keeping calipers/inner wheel clean-

andysat

Lifer
Hi all-is there a 'clever' way to clean calipers/inner wheel rather than spraying a hose/high pressure washer on them?-I recently had one stick and I am blaming myself for spraying a hose through the wheel probably causing crud to go over the caliper-thanks

Ive been blasting a hose in there for 9 year with no probs not a high pressure just regular garden hose.

I use a mit and various brushes and its done everytime I wash the car and they still look like this after a refurb few years ago.

big wheel brush, then detailing one for calipers n bolt holes and a dodo juice wheel nut plug for big nut holes

A selection of Wheel Woolies Brushes, a bucket of suds and a hose pipe is all you need.

Liking those clips on the calipers where did you get them from?

They were bought on here many moons ago from one of our US Cousins I fancy a set powder coated in gloss black.

 Same as GAZ, i make a point of blasting them with a hose/jet wash and never had this issue. Must just be bad luck?
Are you sure it wasn't a broken seal on the piston?
