No chance of that as the 18i has a Turbo 1997cc engine which should make decent power with a remap.

The 18i is still the same N20 engine as your 20i (and the 28i) though, so you can't pass the label any lower! Its just de-tuned to allow BMW to manipulate the price. Oh, and they've brought back the cloth upholstery too... great.

The 18i will be quick with a remap.... if anyone ever breaks the encryption on the new ecus and BMW aren't actually tracking them with connected drive as some are speculating.

Us 2.0 engine drivers should stick together. Had mine 4 wks now and love it, the recession paint work really finishes it of

The 18i is a 2.0lt turbo 4, the 20i is a 2.0lt turbo 4, the 23i is a 2.5lt naturally aspirated 6, the 28i is a 2.0lt turbo 4, the 30i is a 3.0lt naturally aspirated 6, the 35i and 35is are 3.0lt turbo 6's... :dizzy:

tbh i'm still a little surprised beemer haven't released an oil burner option, they seem to have done with all their other drop-tops.....just seems wrong to do that to a convertible :?
