KDS Alignment

I'm considering taking my car in for a KDS Alignment. BMW want £360 for this, ouch.

Does anyone here know of a firm that can do KDS in Lancashire/Manchester/Yorkshire? Presumably a firm that knows about BMW's and servotronic steering needs?
 
Crikey - that seems a lot. I've never been charged more than £200 in the past by BMW. Can't be that much more involved doing an E89 versus an E85/6 can it?
 
Go to a place with a Hunter Alignment machine. does the same job at a fraction of the cost of KDS.

Question is, can that deal with the servotronic business? Where the car needs to be 'told' the new centre point etc?

As far as I'm aware Hunter alignment machines can do the same laser alignment as KDS ones. Can anyone else confirm this? :?

Yes.

However it isn't the machine that's important its who uses it. I've seen some top of the range Hunter equipment used by some real numpties who haven't got a clue what they are doing. I've also seen a garage who allegedly know what they are doing but the cars all came out wrong because their ramp wasn't aligned properly.
