Kayaking

I have been getting into kayaking for a few years, started off with sit-ons but have just bought my first solo sit-in kayak. Its a new experience for me and I want to progress up the kayaking ladder, so for my first 'proper' boat its a Dagger Stratos 14.5L, in red of course!

A snap from my first paddle:

Any other paddlers out there?

I am a kayaker! Love it but mine is a blow up version as I couldn't attach one to the M…. so nice and convenient.

I have a Sevylor Colorado, done about 300 miles in it this year. Love it.

Yep

Enjoy a spot of paddling. We had seven K1 inflatables, last time I looked. The older one's developed a split seem, all in the same spot, so I bought some more. Then found out I could repair the punctures real easy, despite them being on the seem.

Have done most of the Tamar over several years. Plus many miles around the South Cornish coast. We've even tried surfing,in them, a few times. But it's tricky and you fall out a lot.

Beautiful relaxing way to chill out after work, on a summers evening.

Just did a day (~25km) around the isles south of Skye last week... found a Yes imprint on the beach of a small island in the estuary, added a union flag and topped it off with No Thanks :)

Kayaking is not something I can see myself getting into. However, you are in the right part of the world (at this time of year!) to make the best of it.

Hope you continue to enjoy (and glad you're staying in the UK).

Arh im English born and bred, it was just a holiday, and a secret mission to keep the union together ;)

Was incredible weather (every local kept mentioning how warm Sept had been)

Great pictures. I hope to get onto the sea soon. Was in the sea a couple of years ago and it dented my confidence somewhat. I am cautious and sensible when it comes to paddling.
