It’s been a little while since I have visited Evolve but I wanted to take the car to the ring drive it around a bit and notice the difference before doing a write up about it all
Just before my trip to Germany and while getting my car sorted and set up me and Paul dropped in for a visit to Evolve to get a remap done on the Z.
First off we turned up late which must have been a proper pain in the ass for the guys but even so they didn’t show stress and just cracked on, I really appreciated the professionalism and hard work of the guys
Here she is on the Dyno please excuse my shite photo I had to use my blackberry. It was a slight struggle to get an accurate reading on her as I had also just fitted four new tyres which causes the tyres to slip Doh!
Even with some slippage you can see the difference the remap made, I was over the moon.
After the remap the map keeps adapting to the car so I wanted to give it some time before commenting on how she feels now.
Here are a few snaps from the ring, my first time in my car and it felt amazing! I enjoyed it so so very much and I can’t wait to head back (p.s I know my line is shite in the bottom pic half in half out, but the car looked low and nice so I bought it.
My overall opinion on the remap is that’s it is a great addition to any stock car, the car picks up instantly now with no delay and overall the car just feels smoother, less jumpy through the range and more immediate.
While I was in at Evolve something even more special happened I was offered the rare opportunity to use my car as the development car for the new Venturi intake system, of course I jumped at the chance this is a huge opportunity for me and little red to do something pretty darn awesome!
We had a trial fitting and tbh it looks epic already! I need to hand her over asap to prototype the brackets and heat sheild and let them do some dyno testing.
This is something understandably I am very excited about! I will update in due course.
Massive thank you to Evolve for all their hard work and help!
