Karcher or Standard Hose

Must admit with my previous cars just a quick wash at local car wash has been the order of the day but since owning my Zed its washed by my own hands all the time. Took advice from the forum re: lambs wool mitt, two buckets, gritt guard etc.. Just wondering do people use a power washer on the body like a Karcher as at present I use a standard hose attachment for all over like below

to scared to balls it up us see! Any Advice please?

I use Karcher power washer, blast the thick off and then use TFR on the car leave for a couple of mins and then rince off and then use the 2 bucket method

I use a Karcher with a snow foam lance to start, then presure wash before getting the buckets out, I don't use the presure washer to clean the roof I do that by hand.

Cheers fella's think I will stick to the standard hose setup and maybe just use the Karcher for the arches if needed! After seeing Gaza's motor self detailed to such a high standard it has gave me the detailing bug, proberly end up being an unhealthy bug mind but yeh I love my motor :driving:

Power washer is great for cleaning alloys and the bits/underneath. You can alter the spray fierceness. I have a cheapy Argos £25 thing and thinking about upgrading to something a little better.

Have just invested in a Meguiars Washing mit and Gold class shampoo - very nice to use!

Use both Karcher to soak (with a foam lance) and power rinse that off, also for the wheels and arches. Then a normal hose for a rinse

Pauly, I use exactly the same hose as you. Have always had problems getting the wheels clean, just discovered Bilberry wheel cleaner and it's brilliant. Get some if you don't already use it.

Cheers Flimper just checked out Bilberry on youtube and read some reviews on other sites all postive! Nine pound a litre so Im gonna give it a whirl, cheers fella
