Karbonius Race Airbox install

Hi all just finished my airbox install, love the look, and
sounds amazing!
All went pretty straight forward really (had to do a slight
mod to the snorkel part.
Used a plug and play wiring loom from auto3design (thanks Jamie)
Booked in for remap and dyno with trs performance at the
end of April, just have to be patient now :D.
Considering selling my Gruppe M intake that I removed, just
wondering what sort of money 1 should let it go for?
(£30 of the sale i will give to the forum fund)

Yes, maybe a little over 3k including the pre made loom and also opted for the short csl dipstick.
I would definitely recommend Martin at MS Motorsport, in stock and shipped next day!

Nice, yup seen Martin has them at a good price...oh dear

I am torn between this or a mild supercharger as the final upgrade to my car. *That sound* vs *that performance* is a difficult one!

It looks like you went for the race box with the integrated snorkel, any issues with fitting?

Had to do a small adjustment with the dremel, was a bit daunting but masked it up and went nice and steady It came out well, I will send a shot at some point

Same here, except I don’t think I could hold back at just ‘mild’ if I were to supercharge mine :D That said, a significant part of me wants to maximise the potential from the engine in NA form, especially given the age of the car now.

Good work OP (and for the donation) - I bet you can’t wait to hear it running properly.

Swap your IAT for an OEM one before the map, I data logged the one that comes with the harness Vs OEM and they read differently. I didn't know this until after the map :headbang:

Pic below of the two...OEM on the left, it's way more open if you notice

You should be ok so long as who ever does the tune scales the map correctly to the IAT type, but that said I'd still go oem, which is what I did.
