Karbonius CF reproduction of standard S54 plenum **PROTOTYPE VIDEO**

OK thanks. That's 7% of what I paid for a complete M roadster with 40,000 miles on it in mint, and I mean mint, condition. I appreciate the effort involved but spending 7% of an entire bmw on a little carbon is madness. Best of luck.

No worries :)

BMW parts are not cheap, though. Check the price of an OE plenum for comparison (not that you should ever need to buy one).

Hey Michael, firstly well done on your efforts so far with this, great to see new parts being developed!

Can you add me onto the list please? After hearing the videos I'm super keen on pairing this with my Eventuri.

Cheers, Greg

Hi Greg - absolutely. Thanks!

you can get a S54 OEM plenum for about 150 on fleabay. manuals fetch a bit more.

any carbon is good carbon in my books. sound alone. you pays your ways n all that ;-)

All this money on fancy carbon when you could just drill the standard airbox for free. :D Would probably sound the same as an eventuri :exitright:

Indeed that is what my picture above shows. Second hand lid, hole saw, carbon skinning kit and a bunch of work. Now if someone could make that as a cheap product they could sell a bunch.

I see it now that you mention it, very subtle. I was thinking of doing something similar on a spare plenum.

What is the price again?

1,200 Euro plus a little bit more for the extra reinforcing.
So, say £1200 at current rates, plus shipping, plus duty, plus VAT, plus courier admin fees (for processing your duty/VAT)...for a total of £1500?

I can't comment on the duties and fees various countries pay but I can say the price will be a little over 1,200 Euros not including VAT.

Are there any timing expectations? When would we need to pay and when will deliveries start?

They originally said they would be ready to start the production run in mid-September. I will check regarding payments and deliveries.

@///MBan please remove me from the list. Appreciate your effort in getting it all the way through. After some back and forth, I am going for the full CSL carbon box either from Karbonious or Geoff Steel. Thanks again.
