Assuming the sounds of the test / prototype model is pleasing then I'd be interested. 1200 is just over a 1/3rd of the price of the Eventuri system and remap so sounds like a bargain.

Yes, we're still 7 EOI short. Zero interest from NAM3 forum, which surprises me a bit.

I've been meaning to add some posts elsewhere (m3cutters, bimmerfest and maybe pistonheads) but haven't gotten around to it yet. I'll put it on my to-do list for today.

Incase anyone is on the fence a good friend on mine has just got a carbon plenum for his e90 m3 from Karbonius and it is a really beautifully made bit of kit both of us was quite shocked how good the finish was .

Karbonius has confirmed they will make a test plenum to check the viability of the project. There is no timeline yet as they need to see if any of the parts from their CSL intake can be carried across. I’ll post an update when I have more information.

Thanks for arranging this with Karbonius, please add me to your list. Have Karbonius given an idea on weave/finish? My preference is a 2x2 twill weave & matt but not a deal breaker!

I have been considering a CSL box for a few years now but everything I have read just makes it clear that the MAF is the optimum solution and Alpha N tuning while yielding an amazingly addictive noise with the CSL box, it is a bit of a bodge with cruise control, drivability (at times) & consistency being lost.

I’m not sure about the weave pattern. 2x2 is what is used on the CSL airbox isn’t it? I’ll see if I can find out.

Karbonius has provided an update, saying that they hope to start the project in May. I specifically asked about the weave but they didn't address that in their response.
