Jusy saying Hi

Welcome

I recently had a 120d M Sport Coupe too but the N47 issues put me off keeping it.

You are best off phoning BMW UK to check if your car is affected.

I checked with my dealer and he said that BMW's with a key aren't affected - only ones like the 1er that had a fob / push button start.

Not sure if the E89 has a fob or a key.

Are you getting it from Stratstone? Welcome to the forum

Hi,

Yes I am, it does have a key and a button but I suspect as someone said earlier after the Sept 2011 cutoff
new cars are not affected by the OBC problem.

Just checked and mine are 326 alloys :( but am I right in thinking that after a spate of cracked wheels
and Watchdog getting involved the design was amended ?

Sill cannot find anywhere if my Disklok will fit the new car, anyone got one please ?

I will be having kittens thinking its sat on the drive without it on.. I will have to tie some fishing line to my toe and connect to to the car door :D

Hi Dan, yes mine was a sooty and that one of the reasons I am changing,I loved everything about the car
apart from the taxi sound and also due to the short distances I am doing to/from work, I was worried about screwing the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) as it would never get hot enought to initiate a regen.

I should really have got a petrol instead,ah well we live and learn...

Well I have got her .. I was sad to say bye to my 1er but the drive back from Doncaster just confirmed that I had made the right choice. im off until Saturday now so will find a nice setting and get some pics upped.

Oh btw the dislok fits fine so at least I'll get some zzzzz's

Me and the Missus have just been for a run to a little place we keep in the country called Chatsworth..

Shes a bit dirty and hot as I have driven her hard.... and the car needs a wash too :)

then we had a run up to Carsington reservoir where I let her have a drive..

I now have blood back in my knuckles ..

PS anyone got a settee for the night :?

Judging from your avatar Im guessing you are no stranger to the sponge & bucket..

Yes its a long time since I had a black car and forgot its a full time job keeping them clean,,

Oh and looks like I have found my first fault, the USB port has gone off,it was working last night witha 64Gb

USB stick and now it wont work.. it has power cos it powers my phone but it looks like the data bus is shafted

Tried 5 or 6 different USB`s and none work..

Is this a known issue as I had a trawl and found a similar issue on a Mini forum ?

Looks like a warranty job then, not a biggie but annoying...
