Toyota GT86.....

I did but it wasn't convertible and some of the inside was plasticity - particularly the Clock looked like an 80;s clock radio and out of place and easily scratched.

The lease deal was very good £199 per month if I remember right

Quite a few threads on here about it. It's not about the cabin, it's about the driving experience, which I have to say is exceptional. It's not a power house, it's a very sweet balanced car that makes you smile. Some people don't get it.

I tested one and liked it, I had two MR2's so like the way Toyota's engines rev, boxes swap cogs easily and chassis feel nimble. You could argue with the interior but then the E85 isn't the best. I suppose ultimate BHP isn't all-that but as a really nice usable package it would make a perfect daily drive.

Quick glance at Auto trader, there are shed loads for sale. Depreciating like a brick off a bridge. :o

Will be a very tempting daily driver for 9K in 18 months time.

I wonder how easily it could be tuned, given it's Japanese...

Is the BRZ any better / worse ?

Is it not a Subaru boxer engine in the BRZ/ GT86?

Hopefully they will do a version with the full STi spec engine or the old 3SGTE out of the Mr2/ Celica GT4- that was a sweet unit!

Bing, from what ive read there's the very slight styling difference and the suspension is set up slightly different for different handling characteristics but i think the difference in negligible..

Sat nav is better quality in the Toyota version as well and more toyotas available. Different colours as well between them

i like what the are, and people are tuning them a bit now

my disco died this weekend - (has been resurrected since) but the 2 seatness of the zed was a touch limiting with 3 of us

I think they look well in the flesh - and they will be a firm fav with the youngsters in years to come, so wont depreciated down to nothing
