Just a quick note of thanks. I got a 2008 3.0si about 1.5 months ago and because of THIS FORUM I have been able to do the following...

Hardwire GPS and Radar detector
replace a piece of broken plastic by removing (pulling a little away) the rear bumper
engine sound generator mod
install wind deflector
reset my windows
install the gaptech one touch module
install a stubby
install a homelink transmitter
Swap out kidney grills for flat black ones
Haven't tried yet but got some pointers on detailing with a DA polisher.

So thanks for the good instructions.. the great ideas... and most of all the willingness to share. I am sure I will do more mods at some point(I have a cable coming to do my own programming) but for now I am done. Here it is...

Nice car...is the girl in the pic a mod too? Wherevcan I get one of those?

Great pics!

I'd like to hardwire my GPS and radar detector. Care to post some pics of the locations you chose? I'm thinking driver's visor for the radar and the passenger side of the center air vents using a Brodit mount for the GPS.

Congrats with a nice Z4 with a great color
More pics please of the whole car.
A suggestion for other mods. M-steering wheel and change the rainforest in the interior. Then you can sell the wood to me :P

What have you guys got against wood trim? I love the wood interior  Classic sportscars have stylish wooden finishes, ok so the Brits do better wood finishes than the germans IMO, but even so the wood looks great.
 on the car and glad to hear how the forum has been so useful

Me - I like the wood trim but some would say its an age thing, but for me style and quality! Love the car

 As life involves a constant quest for firewood in my house i have a bit of a one track mind where wanting wood is concerned. Just about to chuck the chainsaw in the back of the zed and get some more.

Hi and welcome, lovely looking Z4.

But wood in a modern sports car is a no no IMO. Crying out for wrapping of some sort.

Welcome, I really like that colour, as for the trim I am not a lover of wood in the Z, but you know that looks not bad, enjoy your Z

I will try and get some more pics up of the interior mods this weekend... I don't mind the wood but would def like it better if it was CF.
