Just upgraded my SSD again

Now onto my 4th SSD drive in 4 years.

Ugraded from the 256GB Samsung 830 to 512GB Samsung 850 Pro.

Bit of a boost in speed but nothing too noticable. Just needed extra space and the drive comes with a 10 year warranty.

It's a 2 or 3 year old laptop - Acer V3-571G, i7, 8GB Ram, 3GB Graphics card. Was a half decent spec at the time of buying and has been bullet proof so far.

Looking at upgrading to a laptop with at least 6GB Graphics card, dual HDD and something that can be upgraded to 32 or 64 GB RAM. Hopefully sometime in the next year.
 
Yes the speed increase is amazing even on old hardware.

Thoroughly recommended.

If only they'd spend the money at work to give me SSD's for the Hyper-V Hosts and the VM's.

Even enough for the SQL Servers would see an amazing speed increase!
 
Yup, small SSD (128?) for the OS and a mirrored terrorbyte hard drive for everything else. Desktop pc though.
