So I replaced my e89 with a newer e89 35isdrive m sport in sapphire black.

It had water in rear light clusters(indicator failed) and both were replaced under warantee. As was the USB port.

It drives loads better than my previous non m sport.

Couple of questions. I know loads has been talked about the golf tee mod, and I don't wish to discuss the merits, but does anyone know if there is a way to do it without going under the car? I thought there is a connector somewhere? Only reason is sometimes on long journeys I like to have the flap to avoid the drone noise.

Secondly, anyway to add the official DAB module to idrive? I have the professional nav including USB port (I have to use y-cable). I assumed DAB was standard on a 2011 car, but I was obviously wrong.

I also thought DAB was standard on 2011 cars - mine certainly had it and it wasn't listed an an extra ? Mine didn't have ProNav either.

Well, I feel bad, but she is dirty now (by my standards), and I only have a night time picture.

Ok. So no photo until I figure out how to upload one. Guess it's a photo bucket thing?

Any ideas on DAB and Golf Tee mod? The gold tee mod I'm after doing by pulling a plug if possible. I'm sure I heard somewhere that there is a plug in the boot somewhere.
 
I'm sorry that I cannot help with your specific questions, as I have no idea what DAB and Golf Tee mod might even be.

However, I cannot miss the opportunity to nag you for pics! :D

Well, my previous e89 was the HE. This one is the m sport. The handling really is crisper.

I'm working on photos. ;)

The DAB Is digital radio which I would have thought is straight forward module to connect to my idrive.
The golf tee mod is the hose under the drivers exhaust which opens and closes the flap for noise reduction. I like it open all the time and the mod does that. I just want an easy on off rather than climbing under the car every day. ;)

Ok ok. Getting washed before lunch and I'll get snap happy. ;)

Btw. This is my 3rd z4. Think I'm slightly addicted. I had the previous gen Z4. Loved the naturally aspirated 3 litre on it. Run flats on that were awful. They are much better on my latest car.

The m sport certainly does give it a presence.

Don't suppose you know where the cable in the boot is to disable the vacuum for the flap in the exhaust?
