Do you mean you drove it untaxed yesterday Hines ???
Sorned and no MOT since 6th Oct !

You Bloody Pikey !

I cant believe that the online DVLA website only lets you SORN from' now'. You would think it would ask you what date, so that you could select 23:59 on 31/12/2015. As it stands I've lost the option to use it for the next two days, having done it today, in case I forget on new years eve.

I was surprised how quickly the refund of VED came thro after i sorned my car.

I wouldn't risk running around even for a quick blast these days - nor admit to it on a public forum!

Well obviously you don't know where I live, quiet back roads, no traffic. And I don't really care about you're opinion. Keep it to yourself thanks :)

Plus if you have been paying monthly they will take January's payment

No, but the Authorities know where you live you as you're publicising your reg in your signature !!!

First time I've ever SORNed a car. Thank god it's all online now

My 'man maths' says I've saved loads this month as my insurance was due on 6th December and I've not renewed as the car is at the bodyshop and I've no idea what to tell another insurer about it's current status as I don't know if I've got a car to insure or not.

Although the hire car, insurance excess and Intravee goodies I've been buying have eaten most of that saving away, and I know I'll have to get insurance at some time (obviously I'm not a typical Scouser).

Get a grip - Its a FORUM - it attracts comments and opinions so don't get uppity!

I reckon a brag of driving a untaxed car which has no MOT (Ref DVLA) either is not responsible.

done, 6 months tax now on the car :D

all i need now is to sober up, i probably had 10 jd and cokes plus a pint of larger, last drink was about 1am, i think i should be ok by 1 this afternoon

You still going on with yourself? Yawn.

No Tax isnt a big issue (for me), but no MOT means no insurance, which is then getting into bigger issues, especially if somebody else gets hit.

I'm not being abusive. It says on the DVLA website that I have Mot which I have proven and I have the certificate. Bless you for checking up on me though but If your that bothered then ring them up yourself. 8)

I am trying to help you here!

I am trying to explain to you that one Dvla site shows you have an mot and another - the one above, shows that it has expired !

The page closes by saying:-

Incorrect details?
For further information on the MOT details displayed on your search result please contact:

DVSA for vehicles registered to a GB address or visit the vehicle MOT page
Or
DVAT for vehicles registered to a Northern Ireland address or visit NI Direct

If you think that the details on the vehicle record are incorrect please write to:

Jamie, if the police read this topic then you could be in trouble. A law of averages says there will be more than 1 bobby on this site and on a bad day he or she could decided to throw the book at you

Personally i would delete your post. I think ronk is only trying to be helpful. Advise is free, its up to you what you do with it
