Just SORN my car

Taxed it :D

just been for a run out, which car makes me feel best, the 3.2M roadster or my coupe - without doubt its the coupe :D :D :D

Yes but as the weekend spans Oct & Nov, that's two months road tax just for a 4 day hoon !!!
I suppose the bonus is that at least one car could handle a roof-rack !

i Sorn my car on the last day of Septemeber, i have just noticed a direct debit went out on the 1st of October :headbang: :thumbsdown:

now i have the agro of trying to get my money back, does anybody have any links or do i need to ring them?

well no cos its classed as sorn, they just want to charge me for the privilage

just taxed the brown 1 from november urghhhhh, oh and i have said i'll have the storage space from December, £10 pw

Bit of a bugger that, but as Direct Debits are due for a certain date they can start the collection process up to 7 days prior to the payment being taken.

Your options would be to contact the DVLA or contact your bank and have a refund processed under the Direct Debit Gurantee. That way the bank gives you the money usually the same day and take it up with the DVLA to obtain the refund.

For anyone else SORN'ing their car who has a direct debit set up, it's probably worth cancelling it to ensure no monies are taken and really a new one should be set up when you put the car back on the road.
