Just Sold My Zed

Well, the day has finally come. I sold my Zed today for £3600. The guy who bought it was really chuffed so that made the sale easier.
The hardtop is sitting in my lounge and I'm sure that'll go soon too.
Being a mature student at uni and on student finance it became a case of paying £800 a year just to insure and tax it and it wasn't being used.
I spent over £4k on the car and paid £4300 for it to start with. The guy got a real bargain. My AA mechanic neighbour scanned it yesterday and it was faultless.
I was also worried that if anything went wrong with it that I wouldn't have the money to repair it and then it would be even more difficult to sell.
I will stay on here and keep dipping in to see what's going on.
I just wanted to say that it's been a great to have a place to go and chat and most of all to get help with questions and problems.
The members on here are professors and scholars when it comes to these cars.
When money starts to come in again I'll deffo be buying another Zed.
In the meantime I just wanted to say thanks, and I'll continue to lurk about. :)
 
I'm sorry to hear your Z4 had to be sold, but if you weren't really using it then it makes financial sense.

Let's hope it isn't too long until you can get another. :thumbsup:

There's just something about these cars that makes them so appealing.

Always good when the buyer heads away smiling. :) Once your on the big bucks, you can buy one for old times sake and park it next to the Bentley. :wink:
 
I'm sorry to hear things had to go this way too, but there will still be Zeds to pick up for a good few years yet :) Hopefully a bunch of us will still be knocking about to welcome you back into the fold when the new steed arrives!

I sold my 3.0i E85 a few months back, but unexpectedly ended up replacing it with a Z4MR at the same time! I hope all goes well with uni, and hopefully we'll still see you around :thumbsup:

Thanks Fred. bit of a late reply to say the least, lol, but I do check in every now and then. Miss the Z but I'm sure I'll get another one one day. Kinda like the Z3 for some reason..I know they handle like a shopping trolley but I like the shape. Anyways, can just about afford to run my Ford Fiasco atm. Hope you're well and also hope everyone on the forums staying safe and well in these surreal times. Best. David.
