I don't actually have a Z yet but I should do soon.. :D

I was inspired by the group test in Evo this month, then while I was having my car serviced at Munich Legends last week I test drove and ended up putting a deposit on a nice Z4 M Coupe in Interlagos blue!

I pick the car up in around as week as ML seem to be very fastidious about vehicle prep, while the car looked good to me they have a two-page sheet of jobs including everything from replacing the tyres, refurbing the wheels (which looked fine to me), replacing an out of date can of tyre sealant and even replacing one of the little black clips that hold the battery compartment together! :thumbsup:

Anyway, I have a lot of reading to do before I get the car...

Edit to add: weirdly, it turns out that 'my' car is the one from the Evo group test, which perhaps explains the need for new tyres!
 
Hello and welcome. Let them do their checklist, its of benefit to you and your car!
Looking forward to pics. Shame you've bought a coupe but we can't all be perfect! :D

Hi and welcome. PLEASE PLEASE check your car over yourself before handing over your dosh. Sellers are great at covering things up...... Not suggesting ML will do this but an extra 30 mins satisfying yourself that all is well wit a final test drive may just prevent any future heart ache as one you drive away it become more difficult to highlight an issue. Hope it goes well.

I spent a good hour checking it over last week and it was very sound so I'm pretty confident. Will check again at handover too. Thanks for the reminder though, as you say you can never to be too careful!

Looks like the only thing I didn't check was that the Xenons level out properly, will check that on collection.
 
Well I picked up the car last week and hats off to Munich Legends, the prep work they did was outstanding. It looks brand new.

The drive home wasn't ideal as it was getting dark (Xenons level out fine) with lots of rush-hour traffic, the satnav did get me home eventually albeit via a pretty strange route.

Anyway, I'm a happy man. Just need to get some good weather so that I can go for a blast!
