Had about £2.5k out of it so far with a year to run... no arguments from them at all..
Lucky you. My repairs came to a high figure this year. But BMW Insured Warranty makes my 35iS even more fun to drive than it is already and the premium & excess are obviously not unreasonable.Ewazix said:I've not renewed the BMW Warranty on my other car this year, figures were about the same as yours and the excess is a bit of a cheek TBH, unless you have £800+ bill you are still out of pocket (not counting previous premiums paid for nowt in my case).
Yes, you can select one of two labour rates when you take out the policyObs-Com said:Do WD allow you to choose repair at BMW or do you have to use their recommended independent repairer?

....£1959.60. Or, to put it differently, 10% of the value of my car![]()

That is odd, mind you mine only had a sniff over 20k miles and I took a 3 year policy, did you choose main stealer labour rate?
Might also be something with the recent massive increases in spare parts prices and availability.
A friend of mine owns a garage, he has a renault there 4 years old that needs a PS pump - none available for nearly 6 months now!!!!!!!

I just discovered that WD have changed hands since I took my policy - no doubt the main reason.tiglon said:mcbutler said:tiglon said:I got a quote today for my 35is with 52600 miles from Warranty Direct. With zero excess, for 12 months cover, they want....

It didn't give me any options, I think it included AA breakdown etc nothing about labour rates. They must be quite pessimistic about the reliability of my car!
