Just noticed this on the ///M

Actually, it annoys me that the dials are not lit all the time when the engine is on - I find that with the deep instrument cluster that in bright sunlight casting shadows, or in murky weather without lights on, the dials are not as easy to see as they should be. I like a lit dash just because the car looks 'on' too :D
 
My dash lights aren't on all the time.

As for suspension, my M is much more supple than my 3.0 ever was. And to be clear that's with my M on 19 inch wheels and my 3.0 which had NON run flat tyres. I'm guessing it's more down to the age of the shocks on my old car. It was rock hard compared to my M.
 
100% sure, I have not seen an M without that feature. Turn the key - the dash lights up, lights stay off.
 
might be an update
mine is due an inspection 2 in just under 3k miles
maybe they will update lots like the hidden boost facility...
 
pretty sure my dash lights are on all the time too in the m c, another m, non m difference
to add to the list....oh and the extra power :poke: :rofl: :driving: :fuelfire: :evil:
 
Mine are on when ignitions on.

as for the better ride,i think its down to the slightly higher profile tyres on the Ms,as oppose to the 3.0i's with m-sport suspension9even with non-rft's),i found my 3.0 far harsher a ride than my M is. :driving:

Glad its not just me and SWMBO... we thought the M was more comfortable than the 3.0 with M suspension but put it down to new car buying excitement.

Speedo cluster on when ignition is running - unlike 3.0-one of the firtst things i noticed.

+1 on the more forgiving - I had a non RFT roadster and my ///M Coupe is definitely more forgiving. However I suspect it is less forgiving than your ///M Roadster as the spring rates are stiffer on the Coupe. I notice very little roll on mine to be honest.

I think my dash is also illuminated all the time - I just think you don't notice it during daylight because it's a white light.
 
You will need the right light conditions to see for those doubting during the day, but go out in the dark put lights in off position and fire it up and you will see :wink:
