Just missed the light ... yay!

You know how annoying it can feel to just miss the traffic light. Well, I caught myself this weekend thinking a few times "Great! Now I am first in line, the road is wide open, let's put it in sport mode!"
I just got our 2011 35i with the 7-speed DCT box a week ago and am not quite used to the blistering accelleration, exhaust burbles and shift barks that occur when you open it all the way up. I have yet to try the launch control mode, bet that's fun too.
(This is on a very wide 3-lane road with a 45 MPH speed limit, so it's do-able safely). First time ever I enjoyed missing the light. What a fun car!

I know exactly what you mean. Got a roundabout here which leads onto a slip road uphill to a dual carriageway with a nice little kink as you start it. Get there first at a red light and it's a good way to stretch the legs

Welcome all to my world. You will known this one. Gunnislake heading for Tavistock. I go down the hill at the speed limit 30mph. Every other mother ahead always does 40 plus down there. Arrive at the bottom and watch them all disappear through the lights. Sit at the lights for an age. Lights turn Green, bimble through the village to the bridge. Then off the bridge right and floor it. :D With luck a clear road for 3 miles up and down through the twisties, all the way to Tavi. :D :driving:

Just be careful not to scratch your paintwork on those corners. :poke:

Yes I like missing the lights, as long as there is nobody in front of me!

Z4 heaven!
