Inspection says:

Front brake pads getting low

OSR spring broken

Drive belt showing age

Very slight oil leak on OS part of engine

Very slight noise from dual mass flywheel

How much would this set me back? Should this be expected on a car 10 years old or should I avoid?

The only thing to worry about in that list is the noise from dual mass flywheel, All the others are pretty common on the zed and easily rectified yourself for just the cost of the parts if you are comppotent with a a few tools.

If it's cheap enough and ticks all your boxes then they shouldn't stop you. DM flywheel is the only costly thing there.

Hope this helps

First 3 are pretty routine & can be done relatively cheaply / budget approx £200 all in
Oil leak ? Unless its dripping & not just weeping id put it on the back burner
Now the DMF ? Slight noise or noisy ? That would normall be done with a clutch replacement & you'd be lopking towards £1000 all done for that :o
Also bear in mind no 11 yr old car / 72k will come without minor issues to fettle

Dm flywheels. Pain the arse. Had mine fail on Mondeo diesel at 34000miles. That cost me almost a grand and 2 months later it failed again. Got that one done on warranty.

Didn't realise zeds had dmf. Now I'm worried.

The DMF's do have a bad reputation and a well earned one at that, glad I have an auto if they are fitted to the manual Z's

Inspection says:

Front brake pads getting low - cheap and easy. Pagid pads are about 30 quid for the fronts from eurocarparts.

OSR spring broken - again, easy to remove and replace with another spring if you want to do it on the cheap. I recommend replacing both rear springs. Definitely a DIY job, I changed mine.

Drive belt showing age - quite simple to replace. Again, I done mine with help from my dad. Dayco belt from eurocarparts was about 15 quid.

Very slight oil leak on OS part of engine - most likely the rocker cover gasket. Bit more difficult, but I changed mine. Gasket was about 35 quid for a genuine BMW part.

Very slight noise from dual mass flywheel - bit more worried about this. Big job to replace the flywheel and clutch.
