just bought a 9 month old 520d M Sport touring :o

took the Z in for it's first service last weekend and went wandering round the showroom whilst it was being done, saw the 520 and had a good rummage, the more I liked the more I liked it. Dark grey metallic, cream leather, M Sport trimmings with upgraded lights, access and something else. A full £16k below retail price in March

Now my current daily is a 2012 freelander which I've had for a year and really like so I was sceptical and needed to be convinced financially to make the change. Amazed that the trade in was £500 more than I paid for the Freely last year!

I know the 520 is no ball of fire and some will bemoan the M Sport suspension but I'm very happy with the performance and ride so let me enjoy the moment

I used to have a 520d msport - but the old shape - loved it! - I just had a sneaky look on the web site - grey is probably the best colour - what a boring colour choice available even the individual colour are yawn!
 
Good stuff :thumbsup: I had the last model & I loved everything about it apart from the engine, enjoy picking it up & I think the current 5 series has a fantastic interior too.

It's a great partner for a zed, eats the miles and you can get loads in it, I've had a bathroom suite in mine.

I've got a F11 520d M sport Touring in Space Grey as well as my Zed

I love both and they're a great combination. 520 all week does the miles , Z all weekend does the smiles !

Gentler than I expected!

Colour is sophisto grey with oyster Dakota leather.

Happy to help with the tip run, it'll probably end up with all sorts of classic car bits in the boot anyway.

I love my F11 / E89 combo

Whilst my E89 is having some warranty work done i've been lent a F 07 5 series GT. Its a bit marmite, but its growing on me.

PS not enough for me to buy one, buts its interesting non the less. I really do love the 6 cylinder oil burner compared to my twin turbo 4 pot. Its a smooth as a smooth thing!

Picked it up today, 125 miles, swmbo and old mum out for lunch, picked up some winter tyres and alloys from the 3 series. 54mpg mix of stop start city driving and 70plus motorway. very comfy and refined, happy days

Very nice - we used to have 520d M Sport saloon & I loved it, sophisto gray as well! Totally different to the Z4, very relaxing and cosseting, but easy to push along harder with minimal effort! Great choice :thumbsup:
 
Awesome! I've got a F11 525d (4cy twin turbo 2.0) to go with the Z4M. Can't think of a better pairing. F11 is probably the best car I've ever owned.
