I never thought I'd own one as I wasn't a fan when they came out, tastes change as you get older I suppose

I have to say the G29 is growing on me, looks great in Sapphire Black but maybe I am biased a bit.
I must admit its an amazing place to be at night, once the cabin is all illuminated with the ambient lighting etc. Trying to find excuses to keep nipping out and sit in it :D but I was like that also when I got the E89

The joy of a new car purchase.
Looks lovely,Rick
It's funny, because when I first saw the pics,I could have sworn it was a dark bottle green, until I saw it mentioned it's Black Sapphire.

Very nice all the same, enjoy :driving:

Hi Craig, thanks, I was always told when I was selling cars to never buy in a green car as they were considered unlucky and would stick in stock. I ended up with a Jag in Jaguar Racing Green and it was fantastic, I was always asked at petrol stations what the colour was. Green cars don't bother me now.

Very nice, the rear of the G29 being so much nicer than the E89.

What you will notice is that with the white Z you only collected black dirt, and now with the black Z it will only be white

Yeah, I saw the first pic you posted, and thought that looks really nice, not seen one in the Dark green before.
In all the various zeds in Black Sapphire,I've never seen it look dark green before.
That's why I thought it was a colour not previously seen on the G29.
It's obviously just the angle of picture 1,or me imagining it to be a colour it isn't,lol.

It's very nice as I said, enjoy.

I have to admit these new cars have some pretty funky interior ambient lighting. I have been thinking some time now how I can install it in my E89 but without it looking like an aliexpress store  I'll have to put some more thought into it. :D

Yes, you change the colour of the ambient lighting from blue, white, red and green and I've seen a video of someone recoding them to work like a rainbow :o I fitted led bulbs as replacements in the interior of my E89, but this thing has lights everywhere, does look pretty spectacular at night with the centre screen and digital dash all lit up. I'll take a photo when it eventually stops raining here!

Ask B21, he will know. Will be surprised if he hasn't already got it in the Yellow Peril or is planning to

I often switch mine off completely, especially when late at night and heading home in a hurry, especially the blue ones so there’s no confusion

Should be able to choose level of brightness + Is there no option in the settings that auto reduces the ambient light level at night ?

Yes, there is, but I'm enjoying the novelty of driving about looking like an extra from TRONUnknown-4.jpeg

Looks good, not certain the Aldi top screen extender was required though

I do like the new BMW dash / interior lighting - some don't but it does make the car look much more modern

I am surprised no one has done it so far! Been watching some Youtube videos on ambient light install on E90s, it's given me some ideas!
